Math courses we tutor

How a math student’s sessions work

Math builds on itself, so one missing skill can make later topics feel impossible. We follow the MayoTutors Learning System: assess where the student is, plan the topics and order, teach one-on-one on the student’s own coursework, and report progress to parents.

• We work from the student’s actual homework, notes and upcoming tests, so tutoring helps in class right away.
• We break big topics into small steps and check understanding as we go, not just the final answer.
• Students leave each session knowing what to practice next.

Math Quiz & Test Preparation

Whether a student has an Algebra quiz, Geometry test or Calculus exam coming up, MayoTutors reviews the relevant class topics, identifies learning gaps and guides practice that checks understanding—not just memorization.

• Review permitted class notes, teacher study guides and learning objectives.
• Practice representative problems, then attempt questions independently.
• Use short practice quizzes and feedback to plan the next study session.

Included in standard tutoring sessions. Quiz and test preparation is not a separate required package. See our study-preparation approach.
